You're the one

It seems like a lot of boogie tunes are recorded by either one hit wonders or backing singers who have a couple of their own hits. Bez's selection of Jeanette Lady Day is a good example of the former, whilst mine is by Katie Kissoon, who is still to this day singing back-up for artists such as Robbie Williams and Van Morrison. Now to class her as just a back-up singer would be doing her a disservice. She had a number of slushy chart hits in the 70's when teamed up with her brother Mac. But she only recorded 3 tunes under her own name before returning to singing back-up to the likes of Wham and Eric Clapton.

I managed to track down a copy of this from a Dutch dealer at a reasonable price but don't think there are too many copies of this around. Big up the Beat Electric crew for turning me onto this one.
